The tail is in the shape of a drill tail or a pointed tail and does not require auxiliary processing. It can directly drill, tap and lock on the setting material and base material, which greatly saves construction time. This screw is called a drill tail screw. Compared with ordinary screws, its toughness and maintenance are high, and it will not loosen for a long time after combination. It is simple to use safety punching and tapping once to complete the operation.

The use and maintenance of drill tail screws need to pay attention to the following six major issues:

1. The process of flushing the drill tail screw is very important and requires great care. During this process, residues will remain on the surface of the tail screw. The rinsing step is after the silicate detergent wash.

2. The stacking of drill tail screws should be combined during tempering and heating, otherwise it will cause slight oxidation of quenching oil.

3. White residue of phosphide will appear on the surface of high-strength bolts, indicating that (point 1) inspection is not careful enough during operation.

4. The surface of the part will turn black and a chemical reaction will occur, which means that the work before heat treatment has not been completely completed, and the alkaline residue on the surface has not been completely removed.

5. Standard parts will rust during the rinsing process, and the water used for rinsing should be replaced frequently.

The phenomenon of excessive corrosion indicates that the quenching oil has been used for too long and needs to be added or replaced with new oil.
